These bright, refreshing Cajun 911 shrimp tacos pair spicy blackened shrimp with a crisp mango cilantro slaw—no carrots, no parsley, no green onions. INGREDIENTS 

 

BLACKENED SHRIMP

1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 Tbsp olive oil

1–2 tsp blackened seasoning

Pinch pink salt

Pinch black pepper

Optional squeeze of lime

 

MANGO CILANTRO SLAW

1 cup shredded cabbage

1 cup fresh mango, diced or thinly sliced

2–3 Tbsp red onion, thinly sliced

1–2 Tbsp cilantro, chopped

Optional thin-sliced jalapeño

 

SLAW DRESSING

2 Tbsp mayonnaise

1 Tbsp lime juice

1 tsp honey or cane syrup

Salt and black pepper

Optional splash hot sauce

 

LIME CREAM DRIZZLE (OPTIONAL)

1/4 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt

1 Tbsp lime juice

1/2 tsp honey

Pinch salt

 

FOR SERVING

Corn or flour tortillas

Lime wedges

Extra mango or cilantro

 

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make the Mango Slaw

Combine cabbage, mango, red onion, and cilantro in a bowl. Whisk together mayonnaise, lime juice, honey, salt, pepper, and optional hot sauce. Toss with slaw and refrigerate while preparing shrimp.

2. Cook the Shrimp

Pat shrimp dry. Toss with olive oil, blackened seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side until pink and lightly charred. Finish with lime juice if desired.

3. Assemble the Tacos

Warm tortillas. Add mango cilantro slaw, top with blackened shrimp, and drizzle with lime cream if using. Garnish with extra mango or cilantro and serve immediately.
