Rose Ginger Tea | Cajun 911 Cuisine
This fragrant, comforting tea combines floral rose syrup with the warm spice of fresh ginger, brewed over a base of smooth black or green tea. Finished with a rose sugar rim, it becomes an elegant Cajun 911 tea moment—simple, soothing, and aromatic.
INGREDIENTS
TEA
1 black or green tea bag (Earl Grey, English Breakfast, jasmine, or sencha)
1 1/2 cups hot water
1–2 Tbsp rose syrup
3–4 thin slices fresh ginger
Optional: 1 tsp honey or cane syrup
ROSE SUGAR RIM
2 Tbsp sugar
1/2–1 tsp rose sugar or sugar mixed with a drop of rose syrup
Lemon wedge
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the Rose Sugar Rim
Mix sugar and rose sugar in a shallow dish. Moisten the rim of your cup with a lemon wedge. Dip the rim into the sugar mixture and allow it to set.
2. Brew the Tea
Heat water to the proper temperature.
Black tea: approximately 205°F
Green tea: approximately 175–185°F
Steep the tea bag with ginger slices.
Black tea: 3–5 minutes
Green tea: 2–3 minutes
Remove the tea bag and ginger slices.
3. Add the Rose Syrup
Stir in 1–2 tablespoons rose syrup. Sweeten with honey or cane syrup if desired.
4. Serve
Pour tea into the rose-sugar-rimmed cup. Garnish with lemon, ginger, or edible rose petals. Serve hot or iced.
