Using evaporated milk gives this Orange Julius a silky, old-fashioned creaminess that blends beautifully with bright orange juice and vanilla. Light, frothy, and refreshing, this nostalgic citrus drink is sunshine in a glass and perfect for breakfast, brunch, or an afternoon pick-me-up.

INGREDIENTS 

 

FOR THE CCOCKTAIL

1 cup orange juice, fresh or concentrate

1/2 cup evaporated milk

1/4 cup sugar, adjust to taste

1 tsp vanilla extract

1–1 1/2 cups ice

 

OPTIONAL ADD-INS

Zest of 1/2 orange

1 Tbsp extra evaporated milk for added richness

  

  

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Blend the Base

Add orange juice, evaporated milk, cold water, sugar, and vanilla extract to a blender. Blend until smooth.

2. Add Ice and Froth

Add ice and blend until creamy, frothy, and light. Adjust sweetness or thickness as needed.

3. Serve

Pour into chilled glasses. Garnish with orange zest, an orange slice, or vanilla sugar. Serve immediately while foamy.
