This bright, sweet-tart Lemon Cupcake Dew Drop Shot captures the flavor of a lemon cupcake without using any cream. Vanilla vodka and limoncello create a smooth cupcake base, while lemon and a splash of 7UP or Sprite add the signature “dew drop” sparkle. Light, festive, and silky, this shot is perfect for parties, celebrations, and dessert-style cocktails.
INGREDIENTS
Per Shot
1 oz vanilla vodka
1/2 oz limoncello
1/2 oz Lemon Drop mixer or fresh lemon juice mixed with simple syrup
1/4 oz simple syrup
Splash of 7UP or Sprite
Tiny drop vanilla extract, optional
Optional Rim
Sugar mixed with lemon zest
Powdered sugar for a cupcake frosting look
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Rim the Glass
Dip the rim of a shot glass into lemon juice, then into sugar or powdered sugar if using. Set aside.
2. Mix the Base
Add vanilla vodka, limoncello, lemon mixer or lemon juice, simple syrup, and optional vanilla extract to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously until very cold and slightly frothy.
3. Strain
Strain into the prepared shot glass.
4. Add the Dew Drop
Top with a small splash of 7UP or Sprite to create the signature sparkle.
5. Garnish
Finish with micro lemon zest, a mini lemon twist, or a sugar pearl if desired.
