This extra-shrimp Cajun dip is hearty, coastal, and packed with Louisiana flavor. With three full cups of finely chopped shrimp folded into a creamy base, this is not a skimpy party dip — it’s rich, meaty, and satisfying. Perfect for crackers, French bread, vegetables, and holiday or game-day tables.

INGREDIENTS 

 

Shrimp Mixture

3 cups cooked shrimp, finely chopped

1–1 1/2 tsp Cajun seasoning, to taste

1–2 tsp hot sauce, to taste

 

Creamy Base

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup finely diced onion

1/4 cup finely diced celery

3 green onions, sliced

Salt and black pepper, to taste

 

Serve With

Cajun crackers

French bread rounds

Crackers or fresh vegetables

 

Garnish

Parsley or green onion, optional

 Parmesan, optional

 

 
 

INSTRUCTIONS

 

1. Season the Shrimp

Chop the cooked shrimp finely. Toss with Cajun seasoning and hot sauce until evenly coated. Set aside.

2. Make the Creamy Base

In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, onion, celery, and green onions. Mix until smooth and well blended.

3. Fold Together

Add the seasoned shrimp to the creamy base. Mix thoroughly and adjust seasoning with salt, black pepper, or additional Cajun seasoning as needed.

4. Chill and Serve

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to develop. Serve chilled with crackers, bread, or vegetables.
