Seafood Bread with Shrimp Butter | Cajun 911 Cuisine
This luxurious Cajun 911 Seafood Bread starts with a rich layer of shrimp butter baked directly into French bread, creating a savory, herb-infused base that turns crisp and golden. The bread is then topped with a silky Cajun cheese sauce loaded with shrimp, crawfish, and crab, finished with fresh green onion and parsley. Coastal Louisiana comfort at its finest.

SHRIMP BUTTER BASE
1 cup boiled shrimp, finely chopped
4 Tbsp butter, softened
4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 Tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
1/2–1 tsp Cajun seasoning
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1–2 tsp lemon juice
Salt and black pepper
SEAFOOD ADD-INS
1/2 cup crawfish tails
1/2 cup shrimp, chopped
1/2 cup lump crabmeat
CHEESE SAUCE
2 Tbsp butter
2 Tbsp flour
1 cup evaporated milk or half-and-half
1 cup shredded mozzarella or Monterey Jack
1/2 cup shredded cheddar, optional
1/4 tsp Cajun seasoning
Pinch white pepper
BREAD
1 French bread loaf, split lengthwise
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat the Oven
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with foil.
2. Bake the Shrimp Butter Base
Mix shrimp butter ingredients until smooth. Spread a thick, even layer over both halves of the French bread. Bake 8–10 minutes until melted into the bread and lightly crisp.
3. Make the Seafood Cheese Sauce
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook 1–2 minutes to form a roux. Slowly whisk in evaporated milk until smooth and creamy. Stir in cheeses, Cajun seasoning, and white pepper until melted. Gently fold in shrimp, crawfish, and crab until warmed through.
4. Assemble the Seafood Bread
Remove bread from oven and spoon the hot seafood cheese mixture evenly over both halves. Add extra shredded cheese if desired.
5. Bake or Broil
Return to oven and bake 5–8 minutes until bubbly, or broil 1–2 minutes until golden.
6. Garnish and Serve
Top with fresh green onion and parsley. Slice and serve warm.
