Cajun Meatball Spaghetti | Cajun 911 Cuisine
This Cajun 911 Meatball Spaghetti features tender evaporated-milk meatballs seasoned with Greek seasoning, a touch of Cajun spice, and Parmesan cheese. The meatballs are baked first, then gently simmered in a rich tomato sauce, creating a comforting Cajun–Italian fusion dish that’s hearty, flavorful, and perfect for family dinners.
INGREDIENTS
FOR THE MEATBALLS
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup evaporated milk
2 Tbsp beef bouillon
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tsp Greek seasoning
Dash Cajun seasoning, about 1/2 tsp or to taste
1/4 cup parsley, chopped
1/4 cup green onions, sliced
1/4 cup finely diced onion
FOR THE TOMATO SAUCE
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, diced
1–2 cloves garlic, minced
1 bell pepper, optional
1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp Greek seasoning
Pinch Cajun seasoning, optional
1/2–1 cup water or broth
Salt and black pepper to taste
FOR THE PASTA
1 lb spaghetti, cooked and drained
Extra Parmesan for serving
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare the Breadcrumb Mixture
Combine breadcrumbs, evaporated milk, beef bouillon, garlic powder, onion powder, Greek seasoning, Cajun seasoning, and black pepper. Let soak 2–3 minutes until thickened.
2. Make the Meatballs
Add the breadcrumb mixture to the ground beef along with Parmesan, diced onion, parsley, and green onions. Mix gently and shape into small meatballs.
3. Bake the Meatballs
Bake meatballs at 400°F for 12–15 minutes until lightly browned.
4. Make the Tomato Sauce
Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Sauté onion and optional bell pepper until softened. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, Italian seasoning, Greek seasoning, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Add 1/2–1 cup water or broth to reach desired consistency. Simmer 10–15 minutes.
5. Add the Meatballs
Add baked meatballs to the sauce. Simmer 20–30 minutes until tender and flavorful, adding water if the sauce becomes too thick.
6. Serve
Serve meatballs and sauce over spaghetti. Top with Parmesan and garnish with parsley or basil.
