INGREDIENTS

Bananas Foster

2–3 ripe bananas, sliced lengthwise or into thick rounds

4 Tbsp butter

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

2–3 Tbsp dark rum (for flambé)

Optional: pinch of nutmeg

Optional: splash of banana liqueur

Fresh Cream

1 cup heavy whipping cream

1–2 Tbsp powdered sugar or cane syrup

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Make the Fresh Cream

Chill a mixing bowl. Whip the cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

2. Caramelize the Sauce

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Cook until bubbly and syrupy.

3. Add the Bananas

Add bananas to the caramel sauce. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until softened but not mushy.

4. Flambé (Optional)

Carefully add rum to the edge of the pan. Ignite with a long lighter and allow the flame to burn out naturally.

5. Serve

Serve the bananas and sauce over ice cream, pound cake, French toast, or biscuits. Top with fresh whipped cream.
